A great use for iPads is the presentation of photographic portfolios. Indeed the images are beautiful, and they tend to have greater impact than similar sized paper prints. Now a new iPad has been released that offers twice the resolution of iPads 1 and 2. So the obvious question is, how much better will my photographs appear? Thank you for useful analysis of resolution of the iPad2 (which I have) and the new iPad (with retima display).
Hitherto I have cropped images to 2048:1536 for iPad display and iBook, but may go to 4096:3072 in anticipation of upgrading to the new IPad.
Now a request. Can you please write an article on the colour gamut of the two generations of iPad? The conclusion is likely to influence my decision about upgrading. Thank you, Goff
